Beaconing from Puget Sound’s western entrance, the Point Wilson lighthouse is just two miles away in Fort Warden State Park. Fort Warden is also home to The Centrum Foundation, which provides year-round theater programming, and performing and visual arts. The Centrum Foundation regularly features public performances and major festivals that welcome audiences to both McCurdy Pavilion and the Wheeler Theater.

Port Townsend is a gateway to many idyllic spots along the Hood Canal, including many in WA State Parks and Olympic National Park. Passenger & auto ferries depart from downtown Port Townsend to Whidbey Island providing excellent sightseeing opportunities.
